  • Welcome to Issue 5 of this MLB Upgrade/Downgrade Report, done by yours truly. Every problem, I'll specify a specific field of players I will be evaluating, and MLB The Show 21 Stubs make an overall prediction regarding them getting a potential upgrade/downgrade at MLB The Show 17 based from their performance.

    The score scale we'll use will go from 1 to 10, with 1 being a very probable downgrade, and 10 being a very likely upgrade.If you have some of your own predictions or anything to question me please comment below!All feedback is very appreciated, and I would love to have some conversations in the comment threads!There are two distinct ratings: one for upgrade/downgrade chances, and yet another for pricing (if it is worthwhile or not, with 1 being tremendously overpriced and 10 being a complete steal).

    ADDITIONAL NOTE: The title of this piece has been changed in the Investment Report into the Upgrade/Downgrade report, as I feel as though the piece does pay the investing side of this market, but includes a larger focus on player movement. Additionally, as this piece was detailed regarding player comparisons, the amount of pitchers detailed was marginally diminished.

    His FIP is sitting at 2.30, which suggests that his success should be very sustainable. In 7 innings since the All-Star break, he has set up an ERA of 1.29 with 5 hits allowed, 3 walks enabled, and 11 strikeouts. He has very impressive /9's (5.2 H/9, 0.6 HR/9, 15.8 SO/9, 5.4 BB/9), with the sole concerning stat being his 5.4 BB/9.

    Knebel has many places which deserve upgrade. However, Betances has a H/9 rating of 99, while Knebel has an 84. Knebel's HR/9 is only.1 above Jonathan Broxton's 2009 stat (0.6 vs. 0.5), nevertheless Broxton includes a HR/9 rating of 81 while Knebel has a HR/9 rating of 66. He is very deserving of Stubs mlb the show 21 both these upgrades, and has gold potential written all over him.
